“FILOKALIA” through its activities aim to support educational and cultural activities for children, young people and adults  as  well  as  activities  against  poverty  and  unemployment in  order  to  enhance  people’s  quality  of life. Due  to  its  connection  with  the  Orthodox  Church  of  Cyprus  and  thus  through  more  than  150 parishes, “FILOKALIA” has  access  to  a national,  well-organized  network  of  volunteers,  mainly  of  young  people,  who assist in activities that promote the common good and benefit.

Each parish has a determined contact point with “FILOKALIA“. At this stage, for physical members and active involvement to our activities, we encourage you to contact your closest parish and mention your interest to “FILOKALIA“. They will have a direct contact with us in order to find out all the possible ways you can get involved to “FILOKALIA” activities.

For parishes that have not yet become members of “FILOKALIA“, please download the registration form, fill it in and send us a scanned copy either through email or fax. We will then contact you back for several information regarding our activities and your involvement as well as information about membership fees.

Opportunities for participation:

  • Under the project Boosting Employability and Entrepreneurship via Centers of Learning and Co-operative Creativity (B2ECLoC), of funded projects of RESTART 2016 – 2020 Programmes for Technological Development and Innovation (Research Promotion Foundation) an educational creativity package will be developed. The project started on December 2018 and will be completed on December 2020. The project aims to develop a “Learning and Co-Creativity Product Package” (L2CP) for students of Primary and Secondary Εducation, and to design and establish Learning and Co-Creativity Centres. Based on creative and innovative methodology, L2CP aims at developing children’s personal and social skills and at using knowledge and innovation in everyday life. We invite everyone who is interested in volunteer contribution for implementing the project to contact us 
  • Under the Collaboration Program Interreg V-A “Greece – Cyprus 2014 -2020”, “RECULT”, the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus will digitize part of the material and intangible heritage of its region. The project started on October 2018 and will be completed on September 2021. We invite everyone who is interested in volunteer contribution for implementing the project to contact us
  • Under the Collaboration Program Interreg V-A “Greece – Cyprus 2014 -2020”, «Ψηφιακό Αποσφράγισμα Αγιώνυμων Νήσων», the Holy Metropolis of Limassol will create digital laboratories and will digitalize part of the ecclesiastical cultural heritage of its region. The project started on September 2018 and will be completed on February 2021. We invite everyone who is interested in volunteer contribution for implementing the project to contact us
